RSPB Active in Nature at the Rainham Marshes

rspb-logoThis programme is being run in partnership with the RSPB as part of their Active in Nature Programme at the Rainham Marshes. You will learn the techniques of using the specially designed Nordic walking poles to get a whole body work out.

After you have completed the induction course on either 4th and 11th September or 25 September and 2nd October, plus two scheduled group walks at the nature reserve by 30 October, you will be awarded the Nordic Walking UK Freedom Passport.

The NWUK Passport gives you access to participating in group walks with other accredited NW walk leaders across the country plus store discounts and a host of other benefits.

The booking fee for the course, which includes the use of Nordic walking poles, is £25 ( Discount £20 for volunteers & members of the RSPB). You must register on-line but make payment at the RSPB Visitors Centre at the start of the course.

Meet your instructor Lorna in front of the Visitors Centre.

Your Parking donation of £1 goes to the work of the RSPB in helping to protect nature and wildlife
